EVLR steam trains – One of the many attractions in The Vale of Evesham
A full day out in the Heart of England
Located in The Valley, Evesham – leisure and retail complex, the Evesham Vale Light Railway will take you on a journey around the Country Park overlooking some of the best views the Vale of Evesham has to offer.
Stop off and have a picnic at Evesham Vale Station, near the medieval-themed play fort, built to recognise the area's history. From here you can also enjoy walks to the nearby River Avon.
The Vale of Evesham has an abundance of history for you to explore – from the ruins of one of the largest early medieval Abbeys, to the site of Simon de Monfort's defeat at the Batttle of Evesham.
Evesham's Tourism Information Centre is located in the Almonry Museum, itself worthy of a few hours to look around. Click on the image above for the toursim centre website (opens a new page).
